I am looking at GUri branch proposed in bug 489862 compared to GstUri:

I wonder about usefulness of {get,set}_path_segments() and append_path*(), as
well as all the query functions. Imho, g_uri_parse_params() was more flexible
because it can be configured, and then you just manipulate the hashtable as
usual.

(apparently, gst_uri_set_path() == gst_uri_set_path_string(), but I guess this
is for consistency reasons
