However, from a cursory look, alsasrc didn't try to provide non-interleaved
formats at all, despite ALSA itself being capable of it.

So far as I can see, non-interleaved formats require creating pads dynamically,
which is a complexity that's out of the scope of this change (and probably not
worthwhile to invest effort into at this point).
