  GStreamer | don't know | 1.4.5

Summary: implement video sources for DirectShow or MS Media
                    Foundation
    Classification: Platform
           Product: GStreamer
           Version: 1.4.5
        OS/Version: Windows
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: Normal
         Component: don't know
        AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: christoph.rackwitz at gmail.com
         QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
     GNOME version: ---

Since ksvideosrc seems unmaintained and throws 'write map requested on
non-writable buffer' errors, I went looking for dshow support. I found
dshowvideosrc, which appears to have been abandoned in 2008.

I'd like to read from a webcam with gstreamer on windows. That could be done
with DShow or MSMF (newest API). Kernel Streaming (ksvideosrc) is deprecated
now.
