It would be nice to have a sample code as well in our examples folder to
showcase how to use the element. It seems one has to keep references to all
appsrcs that were created internally? There is no way to list/get those when
needed?

The EOS signal could be replaced by the standard gst_element_send_event call as
it would be the expected behavior of the main API itself.
