I'm not sure if there is any progress on this, I didn't have much time to
follow; There is issue with my qtmux patches. It looks like CTTS version 1 is
not as widely supported as I thought. Despite being introduced to standard in
2009, it is not supported on iOS 7 or QT7 player. That probably means we can't
use negative CTTS in MP4 :-/   (negative CTTS works with version=0 on Apple
players, but that's probably just a quicktime legacy)
