patch contains missing hooks implementation

Hi,
I added missing hooks (some of them are necessary to continuing my GSoC project
http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/project/details/google/gsoc2015/loganek/5651442522128384).
Please review it and apply, or let me know if something's wrong and my patch
needs improvements.
