This will go on to the next segment, though, as finish_segment and
_advance_segment are called. Though I suppose this is an assumption that the
error is due to a 404 from obsolete segment. I'd originally started by hooking
in the error message handler (where we have to strstr the debug message to get
at the HTTP error code, AFAICT), but this become too hairy as it was in a
different thread. Maybe we just have to do it anyway after all.
