I didn't see a single real world stream with the first period starting at > 0.
It's only in the unit tests :)
I would assume that their timestamps start at 0 (+ presentation time offset),
like they do for all other periods. Otherwise this would be inconsistent
behaviour and I see nothing in the spec that would support this.
