As you can see, your hardware only support MPEG2 decoding. For other codecs you
should use software decoders as in gst-libav.

can you upload a debug log with GST_DEBUG=vaapi*:5 ??

what happens with this command:

gst-play-1.0 test.mkv --videosink=clutterautovideosink ??
