--- Comment #50 from Gregoire <gregoire at gentil.com> ---
Following comment 48, how do you explain that it's working perfectly fine with
gstreamer 1.5 libraries? I have provided a compiled version in the first
comment on this page.

The problem gets worse if there is more data to decode (50fps vs. 25fps) and if
it's a slow device (nexus 7 2013 vs. nexus 5x). But in all cases (any file, any
device), there are always warnings "frame is too late". The numbers of warnings
and the impact on the visual rendering gets worse to the point local-50fps.mp4
doesn't play on Nexus 7 2013 while it plays perfectly fine with gstreamer 1.5
or with the pure java mediacodec application I also provided.

Also, I have just commented the progress bar in tutorial-5 and the problem is
still there for me.

So perhaps, if you try to strip everything in the code and you also take an
octo-core A57 64bit that you overclock to 3GHz with the fastest GPU you can
find, you might be able to play the files "correctly", aka. visually speaking.
But I think that it's hiding the dirt under the carpet.
