The bug has been reported on https://launchpad.net/bugs/1539700

When using crossfading in rhythmbox the sound is noisy like in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1539700/+attachment/4559321/+files/Rb-audio_cd.ogg

The issue is not there with gst-plugins-base 1.6.3 but is with 1.7.1

That gst command has a similar issue
$ gst-launch-1.0 cdiocddasrc mode=1 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! pulsesink


I've tried to backport
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-plugins-base/commit/?id=7bbfa39ada905b44743170f6c29d13e5fefb5888
but that doesn't resolve the issue
