indeed, it seems fixed with git ... do you know when are the next 1.7 tarballs
going to be rolled out?

states that 1.8.0 should be out by now, did the plan change? should we roll
back Ubuntu to 1.6 (our feature freeze is this week and we decided to go for
1.7 based on the 1.8 roadmap that seems off now...)
