Can you provide examples of the crop values ? I believe these are UV aligned,
and that the problem here is not what xvimagesink (and literally all other
sink) are doing, but the fact that you should implement VideoAlignment, so the
crop get buried into VideoMeta. You can always keep your own meta if you need
to remember the padded dimension.
