Ok, I think it's good enough to merge now. To preserve history and not mess
with bisect, we need a non fast-foward merge to happen. Though, this is
disabled on our repository. Tim and/or Sebastian will take care as soon as they
find the time. Here's the final branch link with a fix for the latency:
