GStreamer RTSP server 1.8 branch is currently broken in many ways. A big
refactoring landed in master to fix it. It's a big change at this point of 1.8
"stable" branch, but cannot really be worse than current situation IMHO.

Here is a backport branch based on 1.8.3:
