Removed now that we have a working release (0.35) we need to make sure
following releases will work, our jenkins build should help with that.

Well, you do not have python3 headers, does not sound like a massive argument
to me :) ... DONE though
We should make it possible to have required: false in subproject() in meson.

symlinks to the root dir?
