All of this is fine, then. I'm not entirely sold on sync API or the position
reporting mechanism, but maybe I'm wrong and we shouldn't force all our API
users to have to think in async terms only.

I guess the thing only other comment I have is that you'll need keep a
consistent API with pause()/cancel() when used after either a sync or async
run().
