Good idea, thanks. That would also allow for more modes to be added later, e.g.
average-of-inputs?

Changed this, plus the default values for in-channels. out-channels and matrix
are 0, 0 and NULL respectively. In manual mode, having either of these
unchanged makes the element spit out an error message and refuse to link.
