Hi,
I agree that plumbing should be done by format-location-full.

But when we want to use the above functionality from gstreamer 1.12.4's
gst-launch-1.0 (i.e. from a shell), is there any way to pass such file names in
the pipeline string?
IMHO, there is no way for now as format-location-full is a signal but not a
property.
