I think we need to figure out what to do about qtmux refusing caps.

Jan argued that we can't make qtmux post an error message in this case because
that would change behaviour in a backwards compatible way (e.g. it breaks the
splitmux unit test). But no alternative solution was offered either.

I'm not sure yet how much this convinces me.

So I don't know what to do about the muxers currently.
