That's also an option, but it's also very under specified. One need to cary the
plane layout information, this is still a bit fuzzy, since it many cases the
driver speaks in strides and offsets, but strides is under specified for tiled
or compressed formats. This information is needed in order to get two drivers
to actually agree on what the buffer contains.
