            Bug ID: 796629
Summary: nvdec doesn't support 10-bit decoding
    Classification: Platform
           Product: GStreamer
           Version: git master
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gst-plugins-bad
          Assignee: gstreamer-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: samuelh at rd.bbc.co.uk
        QA Contact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
     GNOME version: ---

The nvdec plugin doesn't currently support 10-bit decoding, but doesn't fail
correctly when it is given a 10-bit stream. Instead, this causes garbled video
to be displayed as it incorrectly assumes the video stream is 8-bit.

Currently, I've only tried to play back 10-bit HEVC streams, I haven't tried
any 10-bit H.264 or VP8/9 streams.

The test stream I've been using can be found here (MPEG-DASH):
