The infrastructure seems to be quite complex but I think I understand the
reasons that lead to those decisions. My question is, why does the user need to
specify GST_SEEK_FLAG_INSTANT_RATE_CHANGE? can't we simply detect it ourself
from the seek arguments and make the decision to bring the new mechanism in
instead? (I can't think of a case where the user sending a rate changing only
seek means "do it but later in the future I do not know when" :-).
