This is a really cool idea I just cooked up.  As taaz realized when he
read it, it's would form 90% of a TiVo, since it handles the time-shifting
to disk concept.

Please comment in the wiki if you have any further ideas.

And let me know if you can think of *any* other framework that can even
contemplate this idea <g>
