[gst-devel] status of videoscaler plugin?

What's the status of videoscale? Is it known broken? Because it is not 
included to be built in the plugins/Makefile.am and when I make it, it 
fails (errors not conveniently available).

I want to use the dv2mp1 sample and begin integration into Kino for MPEG 
/VCD export.
I understand this used to be a lib, but is now a plugin. So, is 
gstvideoscale.c obsolete, are there parts left to be converted, or is 
the plugin altogether deprecated by another?
