Yeah, totally ;) I've been wanting to do this all weekend but wasn't sure
if this was a good idea or not.  I figured that if it was, it would have
been implemented before I knew gstreamer ;) So yeah, I'm going to do this
real soon (ie as soon as I get a good enough handle on the whole build
system).  Wrobell and I discussed this too, so we're going to do it anyway
in his branch and then merge back if that's ok with all of you.

Well... each time I put in an AM_PATH_* in configure.ac without the
relevant stuff in aclocal.m4 I had people complain on irc, so ... I guess
with the current list of dependencies we really can't ask everyone to have
everything.  I mean, I'm still installing packages (and looking for some -
xaudio for example) to satisfy everything ...
