Is this xmmp as in http://www.frozenproductions.com/xmmp/?  

If not I just ran into their entry on freshmeat.net.   I'm going to try and 
find out why he's doing YAMS (yet another media system).  Perhaps if he 
knew about this project he'd throw in here.
