[gst-devel] Xv disabled?

Hi,
Why is Xv support disabled explicitly in a couple apps?
   gtk_object_set(GTK_OBJECT(videosink),"xv_enabled", FALSE,NULL);

ie, examples/autoplug/autoplug.c and gstplay/gstplay.c

It seems to work fine for mpeg2 and mpeg1 streams for me.  I haven't
tried it on a system without Xv though...
