There is a --disable-loadsave option in ./configure to compile out the
XML stuff, but it doesn't completely remove all libxml code yet, so that
needs to be fixed first.

gstreamer.pc is generated from gstreamer.pc.in, we should conditionally
remove
the dependency on libxml if compiled without it...
