There is rudimentary clock sync based on SGI's UST concept, that is:
nanoseconds since system boot.  All media should be timestamped with
nanoseconds since beginning of stream time, and the output elements
(audiosink, videosink) are responsible for maintaining the clocking.
We'll have to develop more advanced methods for the actual syncronization
over time, but the rest of the system simply falls into place.
