gst-plugins-0.3.4 works with avifile 0.6, not 0.7.  It's supposed to be 
compatible but it isn't (don't ask).  Also, the api of libdv changed and 
thus also your version of gst-plugins works only with older libdv (around 
0.8.0 I suppose).
For mjpeg you need mjpegtools.  I haven't repackaged it yet for Red Hat.

Now, on another note : 0.4.0 will be released this week and does work with 
these more recent versions.
So maybe you might want to wait for that to do the packaging, it has lots 
of bugfixes.

On another note, I'd love for you guys to give some feedback on what you 
do differently in packaging gstreamer.  It would be good if we could 
somehow agree on package names so that there isn't a huge difference 
between mdk and redhat packaging.
