[gst-devel] compiling CVS gst-plugins

I'm having trouble getting gst-plugins from CVS (cvs update -Pd) to
configure:

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc
--includedir=/usr/include/gstreamer

config.status: error: cannot find input file: gst/ac3parse/Makefile.in

I notice the tarball has all of the Makefile.in files...

What should I be doing here?
