[gst-devel] building gstreamer on Redhat 7.3 [can't find automake 1.5]

I'm trying to build gstreamer on redhat 7.3 using ximian gnome2
snapshots. I have automake 1.5 installed (the one that comes with redhat
7.3) however whenever I run the autogen.sh script, I get a configure
error that it can't find automake 1.5. Any advice on how to fix this?
