[gst-devel] running helloworld example in documentation

when i do ./helloworld test.mp3 it just executes and immediately exits out.
i don't hear it playing the audio... 
am i making any mistakes ? What exactly do i need to look for

run it out of the distribution tarball instead,
gstreamer/examples/helloworld/
