As a lurker on the list, (and developer on "other stuff") I must say
that most of the "feature requests" posted by users aren't really all
that helpful and are frequently antagonistic toward the project or
developers themselves.  Why this is, I have no idea; but it is certainly
unfortunate, given that the developers themselves, when confronted with
a genuine complaint, bug, or feature request are frequently very helpful
and responsive (even if they don't have the free time required to add
the feature, they will usually give some sort of feedback on it).
