[gst-devel] GStreamer and libatomic

Hi,
As some of you know we will not be able to produce a stable video player
before http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111198 is fixed.

Afaik the agreed upon solution for this is to make gstobject threadsafe
by using libatomic (in codecs.org CVS). 

But the questions now is if libatomic ready for inclusion in GStreamer,
and if it is who is willing to take on the work of integrating it?

Erik, libatomic is your baby, do you have time within the next month to
handle this? If not are there any others takers? Wim? David?

Also can this be done without breaking ABI compat in 0.6.x? Or will we
not be able to properly support video in the 0.6 series?
