I think the GTK+ developers won't agree wih that, and rather go with a
gstreamer based widget, since that supports more codecs. If they are
going to at all, since the reply you'll probably get is that it belongs
higher in the dependency chain. I doubt if the GTK+ developers will want
to tie themselves to an audio library for example.
