Yep, anoncvs should work fine now.

The only thing I'm not sure of yet is if you need to do cvs login first
or not.  Can someone try 
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs at freedesktop.org:/cvs/gstreamer co gst-plugins

without logging in first and report ?
