Sure.  I didn't see any other recent ChangeLog entries in gst-plugins,
so I assumed it was only being done for the core.

Huh?  As far as I know you can't ref GnomeVFSHandles.

The idea with giving a handle to gnomevfssrc is that the app is in
complete control of what happens with the handle.  All gnomevfssrc does
is read it.
