(At long last, a new gst-editor release to feed the starved masses !)
GStreamer Pipeline Editor "Living abroad" 0.5.0 released
The GStreamer graphical pipeline editor, gst-editor, has undergone
slight modification to work with the new GStreamer core.
The GStreamer editor allows users to assemble pipelines using the
elements of GStreamer. It is useful for anyone interested in finding
out more about how [1]GStreamer works, and particularly those people
interested in prototyping a potential GStreamer pipeline. Find out
more information about the gst-editor from the project's [2]home
page.
Although the editor is generally stable for small pipelines and such,
it should be regarded as highly experimental code. Of course, bugs
that can be pinned on the editor should be reported to [3]Gnome
bugzilla.
Download
The gst-editor requires a GStreamer core of version 0.6.0 or higher.
[4]Get the source here. There will also be Red Hat and Debian
packages available soon from our [5]releases page.
Maintainer still needed
Andy (who did a lot of work on the editor) is teaching in rural
Namibia for two years (November 2002 until November 2004, at least).
He's unfortunately been quite busy teaching, and somewhat
internet-less since his departure. Although Leif is currently serving
as the editor maintainer, the code has been missing his love. If you
feel the urge to help out, please [6]get in touch with the GStreamer
folks.
