[gst-devel] "No such element or plugin mad"

Hi Vishwa,
So in which directory are the plugins .so files located on your system?
They should be in /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.8 as that is where gst-register
expects them by default. I am not sure why you seem to want to have the
plugins directly in /lib
