The reason I am asking for this is,
Gstreamer has a lot of places where work needs to be done:
  dparams, midi, caps-nego ...
We currently have some ideas and reasoning in the mailing list, in docs/random
and probably in the bugtracker (as replies to feature-requests, bug-reports).
This all makes it hard for someone to start working on one such topic.

In my case I'll bring quite a lot audio related issues to the mailing list, as
my implementation now starts to hit these here and there. I am a bit afraid
though as many subscribers on the devel-list seem to be interested in
media-playback (and not in a audio sequencer).

But on the other hand its understood that the work to set it up should be justified.
