New test with CVS, same results. I incorrectly claimed that esdsink
didn't work before. Actually, going back and testing, esdsink has
always been fine, I was just testing osssink and alsasink before.

filesrc location=test.ogg ! spider ! osssink
is still static. Fine with alsasink and esdsink.

filesrc location=test.ogg ! spider ! audioconvert ! osssink
is fine. Also fine with esdsink. Massive distortion with alsasink.

filesrc location=test.ogg ! spider ! volume ! esdsink
is fine. osssink and alsasink are static.

filesrc location=test.ogg ! spider ! audioconvert ! volume ! esdsink
is fine. osssink and alsasink are static.

Putting audioconvert after volume yields static with all the sinks,
regardless of there being another audioconvert before volume.

Also, as before, everything works perfectly fine with all sinks using
vorbisfile instead, even when ! volume is used.

The problem mentioned before with gst-register is still there, so I'm
running gst-register only as root, not as user, and deleted
~/.gstreamer-0.7/registry.xml
