If you used just a TRM comparison then you'd be comparing what the TRM
algorithm does, not the source data.  So variations in the source data
that may indicate bugs could possibly go undetected.  The TRM code also
uses the musicbrainz servers, and whatever magic it's closed source code
does, to do the actual calculation which probably isn't something we
want to depend on.
