I forgot to mention this. When I select a file to play - I get this message
Resource busy or not available.

Subject: [gst-devel] Help with gst-player
I compiled gstreamer and plugins on suse 9.2. Everything compiled and
installed fine. I ran gst-register and tested gst-launch, everything works
as expected.
I then compiled gst-player. It compiled fine but when I start it, it
complains that it cannot find a mixer - so there is no volume and the next
thing it complains about is unable to find a XOVERLAY element in the bin.
I then selected a Sorenson-1 encoded file to play but nothing happens. In
fact I tried a couple of files in other formats but they do not work.
I am very new to Linux, I like to get gstreamer to work especially with mono
so that I can start developing my application on Linux. Can somebody point
me in the right direction? I think the first step is to get a working
gst-player so that I can test to see if it will play my Sorenson-3 encoded
file properly.
Or is there another sample I can use to test out the video aspect of
gsreamer?
Thanks.
Kennedy
