Hi Sami,
I am working on a multi platform video player using GStreamer too. I
was able to build and run gst-0.8 based player on Windows but it was
incredibly unstable. You can find all the information I have collected
about compiling 0.8 at http://gstreamer.xeris.cz/
Now, I am focusing on the 0.9 version. Overall, portability (to windows
at least) of 0.9 is much better, also I hope that the improved thread
safety will fix the crashes. I am going to update my documentation
regarding 0.9 today (will be online in a few hours).
So far, audio and video sinks for Windows are not ported to 0.9, I do
not know when they will be since we have some higher priority tasks in
the moment.
We are using C API and MinGW with gcc compiler in the moment. Of
course, we are looking for any cooperation regarding the Windows port.
Regards
Michal
