No one that I know is working on this, no; the best idea that we had
(IMO) for video + openoffice integration was to do desktop sharing on
the presentation machine via vnc, and capture video via rfb. Mike Smith
has been poking at this a bit.

That way you take take an openoffice presentation and make a video out
of it. You could then seek in it later if you like. Not exactly what you
were asking for, but hey...
