Hello,
could I please urge you to use the same tool versions when
creating releases independent on which user does the actual
release?
I was just in the process of importing the 0.10.4 release
of gst-plugins-good into our internal repository when I
realized that the config.sub and config.guess files that
were provided with the latest release were older than the
ones in the 0.10.3 release. And these older files do not
support our CRISv32 architecture, thus preventing us from
building without modifying the files...
Below are the dates/versions for some of the release files.
0.10.3 0.10.4
------ ------
aclocal.m4 48 Debian 1.5.22-2 48
compile 2003-11-09.00 2005-02-03.08
config.guess 2005-08-03 2003-06-17
config.sub 2005-07-08 2003-06-18
depcomp 2004-04-25.13 2005-02-09.22
install-sh 2004-04-01.17 2005-02-02.21
ltmain.sh 1.5.22 Debian 1.5.22-2 1.5.16
missing 2003-09-02.23 2005-02-08.22
As can be seen above some files are newer in the 0.10.4 release,
whereas others have regressed.
