[gst-devel] gst-plugins-base autogen.sh issue

If I don't touch one line of code in the configure.ac,
just before any line, using "return" to add space,
then run autogen.sh, then it gives me following
information. 
config.status: creating Makefile
.infig.status: error: cannot find input file: Makefile
  configure failed

Could you tell me where I should look into?
