The discussion on the mailing list before was about your commit to
typefindelement. That was a separate incident in which your changelog
did not correspond to your changes; the commit on event handling in
collectpads was not alluded to in any mail to gst-devel AFAICT.

This is good, but it does not fix the two problems. The first one
presumably being a problem in your patch workflow, in which you end up
committing changes that do not correspond to your changelog. This is a
general problem that you need to fix somehow.

The second one is that you have made a commit to collectpads that
probably breaks some muxing cases. Until bug #340060 is resolved, I am
suggesting that you back out the change -- since the fix to that problem
is likely to involve fixing plugins, the whole problem + solution should
be documented in bugzilla.
